I 've been off to crazy land for some time and looking to get my 04 trx back up to speed.
Whats the current hot setup. Cam,headwork, piston bore, carb, intake. I am looking to stay in the pump gas compression range, a cam that doesnt need a new chain before the piston needs to be replaced and dont feel like spliting the cases.

I have been riding a cr500r so my trx needs to be fast or else it will just sit.

Holy Crap he is back from the dead....


Whats going on man.... I just did my motor, and got it back up to speed and im currently Fairly Happy with it. Havnt raced anything yet, i did when i was 12.5.1 comp 480, and was beating a KTM 450 dirtbike on ashphalt, in a drag, but since them am back to stock bore.


I went with a STG 3 Hotcam, JE Prp Series Piston, 12.5.1 Compression, so pump gas. They are made 0.10 taller then stock for better deck height.

For head work i would go with Rage or racers edge, both seem to have good customer service and neither is lacking in the power Department.


I cam back to stock bore due to a cracked Jug, but the 480 was nice, esr also sells there piston, mines still good, if i use it again ill be going with a Aftermarket jug tho.
